Favourite hobbies/ interests
Reading and creative arts, I enjoy making miniatures in paper, origami.
I live for donuts.
I have read all the Harry Potter books by the age 7.
I love skateboarding , hanging with friends and camping in winter .
My favourite pastime is sitting in a tree reading a good book.
How long have you been drawing or creating art?
I received my first painting easel when I was two. Since then I have amassed a huge pile of creative works and carry a notepad with me everywhere, I go to draw in.
Even in pre-school my parents told me I was always tinkering and making imaginative things. If there was no paper, I used whatever I could to create, boxes, sticks rocks even blu-tac! In my home is a collection of my works in clay, paint, paper, Lego, tape and so many sketchbooks. In school holidays I often attend classes run by a local artist to learn new skills in paint and pencil.
I feel so calm and happy when I'm in my creative universe and ideas flow through me with ease. I am fascinated with space and one day I hope to venture to Mars, writing a book and illustrating the journey is a dream. My favourite fact about space is that there are more stars in the known universe than there are grains of sand on Earth!
What do you like about the story “A Shooting Star”?
Its a great ideal, the message it sends is so important, to be grateful and thankful for even the smallest things.
What does it mean to you to be part of this book with the other child illustrators around the world?
It really means a lot to me, I've loved doing the drawings and seeing others perspectives and styles.
How have you used the shooting star with your family or friends?
As a family we are practicing being more aware of kindness and gratitude.
What advice would you give children or teenagers about going for your dreams?
Just keep practicing what you love doing and do not give up.
As a wise kid, what message to you think humanity/humans needs to hear right now.
We need to connect and help each other a lot more, by recognising good deeds.
Name one person in your life who you would love to give a shooting star to. Why?
To my little sister Izzy, she's always so grateful and thoughtful, she loves unconditionally no matter what.
